Central Station Excellence
AFA has provided more than 125 years of uninterrupted central
station alarm services to our customers. From
our UL-Listed and FM-approved state-of-the-art computerized
central stations
all along the East Coast, AFA provides the eyes
and ears for your premises when you cannot. AFA
central stations are manned
24-hours a day, monitoring approximately 40,000
subscriber locations. Intrusion, fire, life safety
and supervisory alarm
conditions from one to hundreds of protection
points at your premises, are detected immediately
and reported to an AFA central
station. There, AFA personnel analyze alarm data
swiftly and respond appropriately, either notifying
the customer directly,
or dispatching police, fire or other response
agents to the premises.
Driven to Surpass Excellence
AFA central stations offer select services to meet
unique customer needs. Central station operators
can provide remote troubleshooting. Systems can
be connected directly to police or fire departments.
AFA’s automation system enables customers
to use a touchtone phone to automatically notify
central stations of systems being put into or taken
out of test status without operator intervention.
Additionally, a feature available to select customers
allows them secured access to their own data stored
in our central station computers in order to view,
change or delete records without operator intervention.
Copies of reports, such as “openings and closings
records” can be transmitted to our customer
via fax or e-mail.
